How the calculators work
Each tool runs entirely in your browser using standard formulas - loan payments use the amortization equation, ownership costs compound a depreciation rate and sum the yearly expenses, and fuel costs divide distance by real-world MPG. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored, so you can run as many scenarios as you like.
What they cover
The set splits into three jobs: paying for a car (auto loan, loan vs lease, cash vs finance, payoff), running it (fuel cost, cost per mile, EV charging, gas vs EV) and owning it (car ownership cost, depreciation). Use them together - a low monthly payment means little if the cost per mile or the depreciation is high.
